On Wednesdays I, Rain Mako, lead a school day focused on group activities. Coming to school gives homeschooled kids a chance to practice their interpersonal skills, and being an active member of a group is an interpersonal challenge for everyone. All activities are adapted so that children of any ability can join in. Outdoor and indoor games are a big part of the day and everyone needs to come dressed for running and the weather. Games are alternated with hands on projects; short periods of quiet listening to a presentation or story, and free play. All students are encouraged to write or dictate a story or summary and share it with the group each week.

Parents are welcome to be at school all day. We invite them to be a role model of joining in the group activities.
